We are closed most mornings to allow our volunteers to prepare our animals for your visit. If you are interested in becoming a Humane Society volunteer, please click here.
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday-Friday: 1:00pm - 7:00pm
- Saturday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
- Sunday: Noon - 5:00pm
Each adoptable animal:
- Is sent home spayed or neutered.
- Is kept up to date on age appropriate vaccines.
- Receives flea preventative while in our care.
- Is de-wormed upon arrival.
- Is tested for heartworm and given a monthly preventative (dogs only).
- Is tested for Felv/FIV* and given the appropriate vaccines (cats only)
- Is implanted with a microchip which is registered to both the HSGA and the new owner.
- Is sent home with an adoption kit that may include a food sample, coupons, HSGA information, and information on pet parenting.
*Kittens under 6 months of age are not tested for FIV. If adopted before that age, the adopter is responsible for testing once the kitten reaches 6 months.
- Dogs and Puppies: $99
- Senior dog over 6 years old: $40
- Senior to Senior Program - Senior person over 60 adopts a senior dog: $15
- Kittens: $75
- Cats - over 6 months: $50
Adopters age 60 or older may adopt a dog, 3 years or older or a cat, 5 years or older without paying the adoption fee. This service is made possible through the Pets for the Elderly Foundation. You will be asked to provide proof of age.
• All animals are spayed or neutered before leaving the HSGA shelter.
