We’re going to be closed to the public November 15 – 17 as we transport our animals and belongings from our current location in Twinsburg to the new shelter\, located at 752 Portage Trail Extension West in Akron. The doors will re-open on November 18. \nTo celebrate this new chapter\, we’ll be hosting a community open house on December 7 & 8 at the new shelter. Join us from 10 am – 2 pm both days to enjoy giveaways\, guided tours\, kids’ activities\, selfie stations and adoptions promotions. Plus\, everyone will have a chance to enter to win one of our fabulous raffle baskets! \nWhile you’re there\, be sure to visit our information tables to learn more about the Humane Society of Summit County\, how you can donate\, volunteer opportunities\, how to become a foster\, adoption information\, and more.
