If you believe an animal is being abused, neglected, or abandoned, please complete the form below or call the cruelty hotline at (330) 405-0620. Our Humane Officers are on the road throughout the day so, please leave a message and wait for a return phone call. An officer will be paged once you have left a message. The Humane Officer must speak with the reporting party before assistance can be provided. Leave your name, call back number, type of animal, and nature of the problem.
If this is an emergency outside of regular business hours, please immediately call your local police department.
Report Suspected Animal Abuse or Neglect
Please complete this report to the best of your ability. Our Humane Investigations team receives these complaints immediately and will reach out to you via phone within 1 business day.
The Humane Agents can ONLY investigate cruelty within SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio. For areas outside Summit County, you can call the non-emergency police line in your area for guidance on who to contact to report concerns of animal abuse or neglect.
The report MUST include your name and contact information for our Humane Investigations team to follow up, but you can remain anonymous to all other parties. An Agent may contact you with questions or to obtain more information, if needed.
