I’d love to give you an update and share some pictures of my cat, Lyla (formerly Tyra) that I adopted from your facility on December 3, 2023. It’s been nearly a year now and she’s just my perfect little angel. I had changed her name to Lyla the day I took her home. That evening, as I was looking at her paperwork, I discovered that her birthday fell on the day my Mom passed away, 11.24.22 – Thanksgiving Day.
I believe this little fur angel was a blessing sent to me from my Mom. She has made my world a better place and I can’t imagine life without her! She’s amazing, intelligent, funny, and highly trainable. I’ve taught her to sit and give me paw. She allows me to trim her nails, brush her teeth, and brush her. She comes when called (usually) and loves her belly rubbed. She’s generally a quiet girl, but when she sees the lint roller or the cat nip container, she becomes adorably vocal.
I had a DNA test done on her and that has helped to explain her personality, characteristics and any possible health issues. It was very helpful! I’m in the process of getting her a dental cleaning in a few weeks because, unfortunately, she has gingivitis and tarter build up. We tried dental treats and food the last six months, but this girl likes to swallow food whole. I’ve even tried larger kibble sized food and she’ll nibble on those when she feels like it.
She’s a beautiful soul that was meant for me and I was meant for her. She’s my perfect angel in disguise. I’m happy I was able to rescue her and that I was able to give her a wonderful, loving, and caring home! I have attached a few pictures so you can see how animated and happy she truly is! She’s very photogenic. As you can see, she’s terribly spoiled!
A Proud Cat Mamma,
