FREE adoptions for First Responders February 1 – 28
Thanks to HSSC volunteer and donor Kristen Manes, all adoption fees for first responders are waived during the month of February. Kristen is sponsoring this special adoption event in memory of her late husband, Lieutenant Scott Manes, who was a firefighter, paramedic, and fire/EMS instructor. Scott had a special love for pets, especially pitbulls, and would always meet a sweet dog or puppy on his paramedic calls. Kristen says, “I understand how pets help us through the tough days in our lives, and wanted to give back to our First Responders in a meaningful way.”
Drop in visitors are welcome! Adoption hours are 11 am – 6 pm weekdays and 11 am – 5 pm weekends.
